It seems like the Color Purple is the new Hot color for Fall.
Gabby is "wearing" her Purplish dress..Adrienne wore a similar color to P.Diddy's "Unforgivable Woman" party...her dress didn't look too vibrant on her, maybe it was her choice of shoes. Also I think this style dress is supposed to the be hot dress for Fall.
